D1100-216VL Vertical Lift Cable Drums for garage doors as tall as 18 feet. Vertical Lift cable drums are specially graduated and designed to wind up cables so a garage door lifts upwards on vertical tracks. Vertical Lift drums are required for a torsion assembly door with vertical tracks to properly open and close. These are 660 lbs rated lifting weight per drum and fit cables with a maximum diameter of 3/16 inch.

D1100-216 Garage Door Cable Drums are used on most commercial size garage doors with torsion spring assemblies. One pair of drums can support a total door weight of 1320 lbs (660 lbs each). These drums accept 3/16″ cable diameters. These drums are sold in pairs with a right and left side mount. The right side drum is painted red and the left side drum is painted black. On standard lift doors the right hand drum (red) is located on the left side (inside looking out). The left hand drum (black) is located on the right side (ISLO).
